I teach over 700 students in my elementary school from Kindergarten to 5th grade. The very vintage chairs that my students sit in are cracking, not comfortable, rusted and missing bottom leg caps. This makes it difficult for my students to focus on learning. I want my students to be comfortable for their hour of art class and to not have to worry about getting hurt by the cracks in the chair seats. The chairs have been in my art classroom since the school was built in the 1970s, and I have tried for three years to get them replaced.

About my class
