The photography equipment will help my yearbook staff learn more about outstanding photography and will allow us to capture higher quality photographs for our publication. We also share photographs with our school's broadcast news program, so the equipment will benefit both groups. Students are comfortable using their phones for photography, but the phones alone do no provide the high quality images we want our publication to include. The zoom lens for our current DSLR camera will ensure the maximum quality, particularly in sports photographs. The zoom lens for phone cameras will prove invaluable when I don't have enough cameras for every staff member to sign one out at the same time. It will allow students to use their phones to take better quality pictures.
