Every year, our school put together a Tết show for our students as well as elementary school students from the surrounding area. Every year had been a great success and we expect the same result this year. Last year, for the first time ever, we also had a Tết fair that was put together by three Vietnamese Language Program teachers with the help of all of our students as well as the Vietnamese American Culture Club. We spent a lot more money last year than we anticipated. We also created a large Peach blossom tree using branches we got from one of our homes and flowers we bought at the store. However, just before the event began, the whole thing toppled over and broke due to wind. This year, we hope to get these cherry trees to save ourselves time as well as making sure students learn about the Vietnamese culture and Tết in a more comprehensive fashion.
