These materials will all help my students to identify their emotions and help them to work through those feelings in constructive ways. In our classroom, we offer a safe, separate space that is set up to help students calm their minds and bodies whenever they feel they need a quick break. The sensory toys including the sensory sphere, bean bags, Tactile Tangle, discovery tubes, and fidget toys will help my students to calm themselves by giving them a soothing activity to participate in when they're feeling upset. The Mindful Games and Mindful Kids activity cards will support my students in learning new breathing techniques and reflective strategies to help them self-regulate and work through any of their feelings. By combining our social-emotional curriculum, mindful activity cards, and sensory toy station, my students will be provided with a wide range of tools they will have readily available to help them regulate their emotions to continue being the best learners they can be!
