Having a printmaking press will allow my students to go a step further with their artwork & take their prints to the next level. It also gives many an opportunity to use materials they have never used before. Many art classes teach printmaking & keep it as basic as possible by teaching how to print by hand. I teach printmaking by hand because I do not have the budget or materials to do more. I believe being able to use a printmaking press makes a huge difference in the quality of work as well as the confidence it builds when a student pulls a print for the first time. Every student responds to each medium differently, but it has been my experience that students love printmaking & it really helps build confidence.
