These supplies will help to build a focus area for our lessons. This area will be used for learning, sharing out, partner talk, investigating and social acceptance. This will also be where students learn the power of a good book, the use of math strategies and learning with manipulatives, what a science investigation looks like, and how to apply their background knowledge in a new format. Community is the foundation of future collaboration. My students will be encouraged to share their individuality and embrace each others uniqueness through their collaborative efforts. This area will create an environment where every student knows that they are a valued member of our classroom, school and greater community.
