I would love to give my students a cozy and inspiring corner of our classroom to read, work with others, and gather on the rug for classroom meetings. Our reading corner has a space theme (3,2,1 ... reading is a BLAST!) and each student will have a rocket displayed on our wall to track their independent reading throughout the year. I have loads of books and can't wait to create an inviting space for students to read them in! Cozy chairs, a rug, glow in the dark stars, and a life-size stand up rocket will both inspire kids to relax and read as well as gather and create a space for community. In addition to a reading space, our reading corner will be used for our STAR students to share about themselves, for weekly classroom meetings, as well as a working space for partners and small novel groups. Thank you in advance for considering our classroom reading corner project! We can't wait to show you the final results!
