These class sets of readers will be shared among the teachers and utilized in various levels of language learning. Reading comprehensible books that are specifically designed for second language learners will help the students feel accomplished on their journey towards acquisition and fluency in the language. Our World Languages department would like to implement more reading in our classroom to help support literacy. These readers also include cultural topics that can open students' minds to the world in which they live. Many of these may never have the opportunity to see these places in person but they can gain understanding through reading about them. For other students, these books may spark the desire to travel the world and experience the places and cultures they read about. I would like to implement reading with my students as early as possible and your donations will bring me one step closer to that goal.
