Help me give my students the ability to see from all corners of our room. Our small bungalow quickly becomes smaller and crowded when about 37 teenagers are present. Unfortunately for my students who are assigned to seat further away from the white board, they find themselves constantly having to ask their peers to move their heads or to read to them what the white board says (despite my large print) due to all desks being eye level. Although they do not intend to cause disruptions these small and polite requests get in the way of may students' focus and concentration. I display instructions for each step of my lessons but I cannot move the whiteboard up as other modern school sites can, nor I can make the projector screen any bigger. Our bungalow is very old and would be better suited for younger children and their shorter heights. This is where a stand-up desk can serve dual purpose as it can be flexible seating (if students don’t want to use a stool) and it will also allow my students to avoid human body barriers as they seat at a higher level as if they are in a stadium-like environment. These desks can help our young teens to stay focused through the quiet reading sections of the lesson and save us all time repeating instructions. A lot of my front seats normally are given to students who have IEPs or vision difficulties, however, I want all my students to feel special from all parts of the classroom. These taller stations will help me accomplish that goal.
