Currently, our students are working on Khan Academy and science notebooks but what makes science fun and what encourages students to pursue science after high school is the part of science that is hands-on. I want my students to be able to work with their hands to get a true understanding of what they are thinking. The kit for collisions will allow students to have fun while seeing in real life what you typically can only observe via a video. Getting to really design and carry out investigations with something they can test and see for themselves. Hands-on does not always mean minds on but we will be intentional in my class to make sure that we are working on the science and engineering practices with the kits!
