The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will be used by many. I provide classroom counseling lessons to each classroom throughout the school focusing on their social and emotional needs. I also meet with them individually.
These items I’m requesting will assist my students with feeling safe while learning many different problem-solving techniques and coping mechanisms to use at school and at home.
The activity books will be used with students’ both individually as well as in small groups comprised of students facing similar challenges. These groups are offered in my classroom. While in my classroom, students should always feel safe and comfortable. The stay & play stability balls allow the students both comfort as well as choices in flexible seating. Children having choices can assist in their confidence which in turn can affect their social and emotional wellbeing. Every student should have a safe place and we work hard to make school feel safe.
