Welcome to Tara Hills Autism Preschool! We have 12 students who are still developing their communication (we have many non verbal students) and have a wide variety of sensory needs. However, something each student loves universally is music! We are so fortunate to have had funding for Bay Area Music Therapy to come into our classes for the past 2 years. During our music classes, students can practice turn-taking, expressing wants and needs, wait time, verbal skills, self-soothing mechanisms and a variety of other skills. Even our students who do not always speak many times will dance and sing during music. Students have benefitted every year from our music class! Please help us keep it going. Thank you!
