These CD players will help improve and enhance ELA and Reading time in my classroom. Our classroom was given a huge donation of books and CDs to go with the books. By having portable CD players in the classroom, students can work in small groups or partners and can listen to classroom books (both fiction and non-fiction) and can work on their reading strategies through books that they are reading while listening to them being read to them. These CD players will enable my students to listen to books they might not have picked up before. My students will no longer have to be discouraged if the reading level is above their level. The more books that I can expose my students too, the greater their love of reading will become, and their knowledge will continue to grow and expand.
