During this school year I want to give my students the opportunity to tell stories in a modern, professional multimedia capacity. The cameras and photo editing software I am asking for will give them the ability to create original content based on personal experiences as well as through school events. In this digital age where most stories are captured on the internet and social media, I want to help students utilize this platform in an authentic manner. Students will not only be capturing photos and film, they will also be combining these stories with written reviews and interviews to provide detailed emphasis of what they have captured. Students will essentially become independent journalists within the school reporting on arts, sports, and social issues. With this project I hope to inspire students throughout our entire school to utilize their creative potential toward real world skills. This will help my students become responsible leaders in their local community, and potentially the next generation of Journalists, Photographers, and Filmmakers. I will provide MAXIMUM EFFORT everyday to help my students see their creative dreams become reality.
