My students will be able to retain so much more language through free voluntary reading than through class instruction alone. Dr. Steven Krashen says that Free Voluntary Reading is one of the most powerful tools we have in language education, but often, it's a missing ingredient in our classes. With these new books, my students will be able to choose books in the target language, and at their reading level! I will be able to offer daily reading times where the student will be able to choose a book and read in the target language-Spanish! This will result in better reading comprehension, writing style, vocabulary, spelling, and grammatical development.
