These books will allow all of my students access to the genre that interests them. I used their requests to create the list and I know they will feel some ownership in the new library when these books arrive. I am not just helping students learn to read and comprehend, I want to make them lifelong readers. I told every student that it would be my goal to provide them with a variety of books until we find the genre that makes them want to pick up a book. These kiddos will be so excited when the books they chose show up in my classroom library.
