The students that I have in my classroom, year after year, have a variety of diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, ADD, and SLD. Giving them a place to sit and work while still being able to move and fidget will help improve their learning and behavior concerns. This seating will be used as flexible seating within small teacher groups, at computer stations, and within student-led centers. With only twenty minutes of recess a day, it is essential that kids be able to move in the classroom! Even with creative lessons and teaching strategies, having to sit at times is inevitable. My goal is to do everything I can to give my students a positive and conducive learning environment.
