These books will help my students, individually and small group, read about people and events in our history. Both the people and events made a difference in our history. Reading about people and events help our past come to life for our students and helps them learn about the life and time of others. This process will help my students know who we are and where we come from. We will be able to read the stories together and create group projects about each book relating to our country's history. It is my desire that these tipping points in history and these people who helped created them will ignite my students' desire to learn more, do more, and make a difference in our future.
