Help me provide my students with current event news, information, and interest stories that will help them learn and experience things they may never be exposed to. I truly believe it helps them become more knowledgable citizents. I have used Scholastic News Magazine and Technology component for the last 14 years to teach my students reading strategies, expose them to vocabulary, practice comprehension skills, and simply help them understand what is happening in the world. This magazine helps my students think critically about issues and develop opinions and his/her own ideas. My school has recently cut funding for this resource and I can't imagine my classroom without it.
