Young students need an outlet for their energetic bodies and brain-based research shows that movement is essential. Having comfortable, kinetic seating provides students with the stimulation they need while keeping their minds focused. These seats will be used daily at our reading table during small group instruction time, where we will practice oral reading and build comprehension skills. The listening station will enrich opportunities for my ELL and English-speaking students to improve fluency through center-based activities and listening to stories. This project will help provide the materials necessary to create a stimulating environment that our current limited resources cannot extend.
