Currently, I'm teaching elementary Visual Arts in a 20+ year old portable classroom in a public school, I am seeking ways to refresh the physical learning environment in impactful ways to directly impact students’ learning and creating environment in meaningful ways to strongly send the message that the Arts matter. I am seeking to design and create a creative and accessible space where students feel the Arts hold intrinsic value despite coming to learn in a failing classroom separate from their main school building. My goal is for students to enter the Art Room and feel care and love has been taken to curate it to the best of our ability with resources and supplies that set it up with care and intent for them to be successful in their creative endeavors.
