As a kindergarten teacher, it is very important to make my students feel comfortable, welcoming, and safe at their second home (my classroom). It is also just as important for me to make them learn by enjoyment. I want my students to wake up every morning wanting to go to school because they love it, not just because they have to go. My goal is to provide a safe learning environment where they feel they are at home. Our classroom library is a small area that my students use to read. Sometimes it may just serve as a calming area. When this is the case, I realize that my kids need more. A small comfortable chair and a nice vibrant colored rug would make our library seem much more inviting than what it is now. By using an Echo Dot in our classroom, along with the answer buzzers, I would be incorporating technology into the classroom and I'm sure my students would be amazed by the many things we'd be able to learn.
