This musical is our school's first-ever theatrical production. Our brand new theater program is the only arts education offering at our school! Our school has always been focused on athletics and academics, leaving little to interest our artistic students. Our new drama program services over 10% of our student body! Not only will it enhance the lives of our cast and crew, but it will also provide an arts education experience for the rest of our student body and a family-friendly entertainment opportunity for the community. This grant request is to help provide costume pieces and props for our musical: Disney's Aladdin Jr. Since we are building our program from the ground up, any little bit of funding will help and be greatly appreciated! Individual students will receive their costumes or pieces of their costumes through this grant. This is the first opportunity many students have had to be on stage or express themselves artistically. It is important that our performance has quality costumes and a quality set, so that people will come back to our performances in the future.
