Our school is implementing a brand new reading curriculum. I have spent the last 7 years teaching math and am brand new to Language Arts. Our classroom needs a space where we can meet and talk about all the different ways we can become lifelong readers. I want to make our reading area inviting and accessible for all my students and an easel and new books will do the trick. My students deserve books that are at their level, interests them, but most importantly, gets them excited to pick up a book and read! This addition to our reading area will create a small little reading community that I hope will instill reading habits that will last forever.

About my class
