I see Prek through 5th grade in our Art Room 2 to 3 days a week. Last year we had the kids make various art for our local county fair. We had watercolor paintings, crayon art, decoupage, resist painting, pencil drawings, and string painting. The kids had such an amazing experience that I want to be able to do that with them again this year. This year I plan to do even more than the fair. I want them to explore all that ART has to offer! I plan to have them creating monthly projects from simple crayon drawings to making their own jewelry! We will use the pendants, glaze, and glitter to make necklaces. The alcohol inks and mini canvas will be used to make mini paintings that we will add a magnet to so the kids can give them as Christmas gifts to a family member or special person in their life. Most of the items on my list will even serve a dual purpose and help us make many different crafts throughout the year. For example, the glitter can also be used in their drawings and paintings. The paintbrushes can be used all year long and the alcohol inks can also be used to make fair projects!
