Having these materials in the classroom at the beginning of the year is essential. After a long summer break filled with lots of fun (and hopefully some reading), students walk into the classroom being welcomed by their new teacher and their new home for the next 10 months. It should be a warm and welcoming place for them, where they feel comfortable, loved, and appreciated. With plenty of supplies and an organized classroom, they will feel at ease and let the learning happen! First day means first impressions, so if I can get my students hooked and engaged on the first day, it will only get better from there! With your help and generosity, I will be able to create the environment that will enable lots of learning to happen. My students will come to school extra excited every day, knowing they have a comfortable space welcoming them each time.
