My goal is to have flexible seating in my classroom. I currently have one small area rug with two pillows and I have noticed a difference. Students who had behavior issues are more attentive and less of a distraction. The days of classic classrooms, with desks and chairs, are over with. Students are more focused when they are in a comfortable setting. Desks that won't break. Chairs that are comfortable to sit in for the 90-minute classes. Rugs and pillows and beanbag chairs that allow them to feel like their comfort in education is a priority. This will be a help and improvement for my classroom and students.
