Our Family & Consumer Science class is growing its STEM resources to empower students for skills and knowledge they need for careers in the Fashion Industry. These resources such as sewing with six and one needle embroidery machines, digital student sewing machines and electronic die cut will make a difference for my students. It will help them make STEM connections to careers in Family & Consumer Sciences. Students will use the IF/THEN website to complete career investigations for careers in STEM. Researching inspiring designers like Ralph Lauren, Willie Smith and Coco Chanel. Using modern technology students will learn to create their own clo thing logo, illustrate fashions and entrepreneurship. In Family & Consumer Science we refer to STEM as STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.
