I live and teach in a small rural school were students need connection to a bigger world and universe. Scholastic News and Science Spin will be able to fill that void. I have used the materials with their digital magazine for reading, science, social studies, technology, STEM, all with helping English Language Learners. Students who learn in a different language are able to comprehend stories about animals, human life, and technology. During science, the articles and videos provide students with information on how people around our globe are working together to save our planet. Scholastic News and Science Spin changes the way students feel about our school, community, state, country, and world. Kids gain knowledge about others and show more empathy. Please help bring real-life and engaging stories to my classroom to help students stay connected and engaged to life outside there small community.
