Our school is in inner-city Los Angeles and we have limited funding for new and clean materials for science labs. Some of these materials will be used to replace old and broken materials we currently have. ALL students deserve to learn with the highest quality of materials no matter their zip code. The other materials will promote students making connections to real-world applications. Science is always more engaging when it can be connected to the world. These materials will fund a variety of labs whose goal is just that: Ecocolumns and Soil Sample Testing in AP Environmental Science, Ocean Water Testing in Marine Biology, and various lessons in 9th-grade Biology.
