Many of my students have never had the opportunity to experience oil painting. It is a medium that most of my students are curious about and want to learn to use. I hope to empower them to create meaningful works of art while experiencing a new medium. Working with oils leads to experimentation and lessons in patience. The flexibility of the medium allows students a wide range of options for executing their ideas and developing unique works of art that they couldn't achieve with other media. Oils also allow them more time to manipulate the colors. The requested materials will enable them to push their art to the next level. It will give them the opportunity and the materials necessary to experience oil painting to create meaningful works of art while stretching their own canvases.
