Every week I plan on reading a short picture book to use as my mentor text for my reading and writing lessons. These books will help students with vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, and writing! We will use these books to learn life lessons, study basic reading skills, and learn how the authors write. Students will also be able to read these books on their own or in small groups and have group discussions. These books will also help my students be able to handle different social situations in class. I am excited to give my students a love for books!
