After using the same rugs for 17 years the students in my room deserve a new rug to sit on. We begin and end each day as a community on or around the rug. Students utilize the rug during the day to sit or lay on to work independently, with a partner, or in small groups. Having a clean place for them to seat would be very appreciated. Providing flexible seating for students will allow students who cannot sit in a desk chair all day to have options on where best fits their learning style. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!

About my class
