First Graders are good at many things: being kind, trying hard, and taking their learning to the next level. However, First Graders are NOT good at sitting still and making good choices about who to sit next to while sitting and listening to the teacher. With this new carpet, students will be able to be better engaged with their learning, be purposefully sat next to others to help their comprehension, and they will have a comfier, more structured place to sit than just the ground! First graders are so excited to be at school and it is important to me to show them that their teacher cares about them and what their learning environment looks like.
