My students are 5 and 6 year-old. They live in one of the poorest school districts in the state of N.J. When it comes time to pick centers they love to go to the library center. They also take books home on a daily basis to read with parents and older siblings. When they find words they know in a book they are very excited and continually show enthusiasm reading.
