Student learn best when the learning is fun! Teachers have to compete with lots of modern technology! Games that light up, characters that hop, jump, and kick, as well as make loud noises. Help students redirect their attention to educational games that will help them learn their numbers, letters, and skills to be critical thinkers. While students use their tablets, reading can be more engaging and help students to become excellent problem solvers. They will read and use their tablet to become good in technology. My students can relax on the carpet and use their tablets to read or have stories read to them. Making the experience fun and engaging will encourage my students to read while enjoying the process. They will feel like they are playing games rather than learning phonemic awareness and phonics skills necessary to be good readers!
