Our library is a treasured space in our classroom, and it is loved by all students. Students feel safe to relax and read a good book by themselves or with a friend. During reading time our class my students shop for new books in our classroom library, and fill their individual book boxes full of high interest books to read to themselves or read to a buddy. My students would love personal book boxes to keep their weekly good-fit books for reading time, and some cozy reading cushions and a soft carpet area to snuggle up and read a book on. The donated items items will be used each year reaching many first grade students.
