With the large Hispanic population of my classroom along with that comes the Hispanic culture. Due to this I have several students a term that will miss an entire month of school at a time. This creates large gaps in their learning and has caused many of them to have very low proficiency levels in many areas in mathematics. This Swivl device will allow those students that miss one day or thirty days the opportunity to stay caught up with what is being taught in the class, by being able to watch the lecture that was given each and every day. The Swivl will also help every student that is also struggling understanding the many different concepts that are covered by allowing them to go back on their own time and review materials that were covered in class. This will be so beneficial to those students that have a hard time asking questions in front of other classmates due to social anxieties. Lastly this device will also help every student with reviewing material gone over in class to aid in the studying for the various assessments that will be given to them over the course.
