In my classroom of second grade learners we are exploring our growth mindset. This means that we try to remember everyday that we may not know it, be able to do it, or get it YET… but we will. We strive to greet and depart each day with the 2nd grade cheer that goes like this,”Everyday, in every way, we get better!” I strive to bring learning and fun into each lesson that I bring to my students. This can be a challenge with the diverse group of learners I have each year, but providing a variety of learning strategies as well as places for them to meet and work is aiding in our success. I love to learn, and therefore my passion for learning spills over to my classroom of learners. More options for our learning environment will help us become the best learners we can be. Some floor chairs and standing table will allow them to make choices about their environment. Exploration of new things is one of the most important things in my classroom and that includes finding out how we learn best. I can't wait to be able to better utilize a flexible seating and space model in my classroom to help my students learn and grow. I thank you so much for this opportunity!
