First graders are some of the most curious, inquisitive, energetic and enthusiastic people! My students love learning and coming to school each day! It is important for me to provide an environment where they can learn and be comfortable. Inside my classroom there are various tables and types of seating, but the focal point of the classroom is the carpet space. It is here where we do most of our learning, creating and playing. First graders in my classroom are constantly engaged in learning activities through literature, discovery and play. Giving my students a beautiful carpet to sit on and share with one another will mean creating a space where students love to be; the heart of our classroom space. Students need a comfortable, engaging space to be able to do their very best!
