In third grade in our state there has been a very large push to have students on computers working on digital tasks and digital assessments. This can be very grueling on a young child so I have been working on finding ways to allow them to still wiggle around without distracting others. I have seen these wobble seats work wonders on children with ADHD and Anxiety. The rocking motion helps to calm anxious children and allow them to finish their work doing their best. We have also gone from having gym time everyday to having it only once a week, because of budget cuts. So, this movement will allow students to get a little extra core strength while completing their work.
