White boards are convenient, easy to use, and most of all, loved by first grade students! Teachers love them too. Students get to solve math problems and share strategies and answers with a partner. Their partner can point out an error and the student can quickly make a correction. They can also quickly erase the work they did and move on to another strategy. During reading groups, students get to practice writing words and after reviewing their work, can quickly correct any mistakes instead of dealing with paper, pencils, and erasers that tend to tear paper. Overall, whiteboards make the day run more efficiently.

About my class
