My students are inquisitive, funny, kind hearted, and incredibly bright young students who deserve an equitable education. If I walk away at the end of the year knowing anything, I want it to be that I gave them every single learning opportunity I possibly could in the short time we have together. Learning is not just about acquiring knowledge, it is about feeling it, touching it, living it. It is about those small moments when their eyes light up because something finally makes sense. Our youngest learners are capable of so much more than we sometimes realize, and they deserve a classroom that meets that potential with experiences that are meaningful, joyful, and unforgettable. More than anything, I want them to leave knowing they were given every chance to grow, to discover who they are, and to fall in love with learning.
