This carpet will make a huge difference in my classroom. We spend a lot of our learning time on the ground during math, reading, writing, science and social studies. The rug I am requesting is divided into individual squares so each student has their own learning space. This will help my students learn to work and sit in their personal spaces. It will limit the number of disruptions an distractions. This carpet can be used for graphing and also for a visual during phonics lessons when we are segmenting words. In first grade we have so much to learn and every minute of learning time is crucial. I know that this carpet will help create a better classroom and learning environment for my students.
