I want my kindergarteners to be able to make choices for themselves in my classroom - one being the type of space they complete their work in. English Language Learners will benefit greatly from my project because they will be able to select a space in my classroom where they feel most comfortable, and therefore confident in themselves. Choice empowers students, and I want my classroom to be an environment where students feel empowered. I want to create a space where my students feel in charge of their learning, and one way I hope to achieve this is through flexible seating.
