We are requesting garden supplies, seeds, pebbles and soil which will allow my students to further venture out into the world of Science. We already have a garden at our school and we would like to beautify the garden while teaching the specific objectives to the students.
Science is the subject where kids can jump in and get their hands dirty. So why not give them the opportunity to learn life skills while at it. Not only will they learn their science objectives but they will gain knowledge of growing food and farming. These skills could help students find their passion and perhaps later careers.
My students are more involved and engaged in their work when they have a special connection to it. These garden supplies will play a vital role in making this happen more frequently. These products will allow for our garden to expand and perhaps we could eventually get the community involved and students can learn other skills such as starting a business. People learn best when they get out and do the work so let's make this happen for our scholars. Let's open up new possibilities and new ideas.
