This materials list came off of what I had purchased for my class last year, as I finished my first year of teaching. At my school, it is not guaranteed that a student will walk in your door with the materials they need to be successful. This is why I and other teachers, often provide these materials we deem necessary to instruction. This takes money out of our personal finances but allows students to have all the tools necessary to learn and grow. We use folders to store notes and other paperwork, lanyards are getting lost or broken all the time, the golf pencils work great for our students that like to fidget, and the headphones again would go a long way in helping students successfully complete lessons without everyone in the classroom playing a video aloud.
