We have zero technology in our physical education classroom. Furthermore, many of my students believe that technology and physical education do not mix. However, I realize my students need exposure. New technology is constantly emerging and our school is behind the times. My students will use the Fire Tablets to access health and fitness apps. These tablets will provide an opportunity to integrate technology into our physical education program. Not only will my students be actively engaged in the learning taking place in class, but they will also be improving their health while learning. Students will access various apps on the tablet that will assist with exercise as well as improve their basic understanding of different sports. In addition to monitoring fitness data, students will also use these tablets to videotape learning and improve skill performance on hard to grasp concepts in sports. These Fire tablets will make a tremendous impact on the academic and personal development of my students.
