Today we live in a world that lives and breathes technology. Lets face it we can not walk down the street with out seeing someone use some form of technology. With the purchase of these ipads I am hoping to give my students more access to the world as we know it today. My students are children who thrive while using technology. Technology offers students the ability to facilitate and stimulate their learning at their own pace. It gives students more control and ownership of their learning through the use of different educational resources that foster communication and critical thinking. The tablets that I am requesting will allow learning to come alive while improving academic success. While fostering academic success using technology is just fun and engaging for all ages especially young children. The ability to promote learning while engaging, developing independence and fostering 21st century learning skills is essential. All of this happens when students are learning while using technology. It is important to offer children as many opportunities as we can to have access to technology we have in the world today.
