Mindfulness: the state of being present and aware of your current situation Our communities, schools and children need mindfulness. Mindfulness has been practiced through what we know as Yoga for centuries and since its transition to Western culture has lost some of its core practices. Yoga is bringing mindfulness and oneness to your body, your mind and your thoughts. There are hundreds of studies that prove yoga, mindfulness and meditation can literally change your brain composition for the better. A continuous practice of being one with yourself even for several minutes can create positive feelings towards oneself and others. Mindfulness has also been linked to an increase in academic achievement for young people who are consistently exposed throughout the year.
